Alex Callaway
Born 1969 in Devon
Alex Callaway is an award-winning fine artist known for his observational still life paintings. Through refining the process of painting from life he aims to create a little magic from the mundane, inviting the viewer to slow down and contemplate the wonders of the ordinary.
A finalist in the 2018 Columbia Threadneedle Prize, Callaway also received an Arcadia Contemporary Award from the 12th International ARC Salon and an Alfred Daniels Award from The Royal Society of British Artists 300th Exhibition. His work has appeared in several art publications and can be found in collections around the world.
