Andrew Crocker

Crocker is fascinated by the formal, often manipulated, quality of the English landscape,whether it be the West Country, the North Norfolk Coast, or his native North Yorkshire. His paintings are aligned with the tradition and conventions of English landscape painting, yet Crocker’s paintings are often populated by ambiguous figures and contemporary allegory.

Andrew Crocker graduated from Goldsmiths in 1985 and has since been shown extensively in Europe and America, as well as having work held in collections in East Asia and Australia. He has received commissions from the Ladbroke Group and Ernst & Young and was a finalist in the BP Portrait Awards in 1996.
