Lewis Chamberlain was born in East Yorkshire in 1966.  After graduating from the Slade School of Art in 1988 he lived and worked in London until 2005 and is now based in East Sussex. He exhibited twice at the Guillaume Gallozzi Gallery in New York in the 1990’s and has since shown extensively in the UK.  He is primarily known for his detailed paintings and pencil drawings, often of children’s toys in domestic interiors, and as a portrait artist.  He is a Pollock-Krasner Award winner and a previous winner of the Discerning Eye Competition and has shown in six BP Portrait Awards.  He has been commissioned to produce art for a wide range of clients and his work is held in private and public collections in the UK and abroad.
